Your Greater Victoria roof is often wet, mossy or steep. Walking it with a box of cheap lights and a household ladder is how people get hurt and how shingles get damaged. Our team already works at height with CSA approved ropes and harnesses. We carry WorkSafeBC coverage for our workers and liability insurance for up to 2 million. We install permanent and temporary roof anchors when they’re needed, and if your house already has anchors we’ll inspect them on arrival free of charge.

Your gutters matter just as much as your roof. We clip lights to a sound trough, not a sagging one. If your gutters are full of needles, pulling off the fascia or leaking at a corner, we can also (1) clean your gutters, (2) repair your gutters, or (3) replace them by installing new gutters. If preferred or necessary, we can clean or repair your gutters before the light display goes up. Roof and gutter work go together on this coast. Your holiday lights should too.

When you book Christmas light installation with us, your quote is built as a full seasonal service, not a one-night hang-and-run.

We source quality lighting so you’re not dealing with burnt-out bulbs, loose connections or uneven spacing from big-box strands. For safety and a consistent look, we install our own commercial-grade lights. We don’t hang mixed hardware-store strings.

We install holiday lighting through Victoria, Saanich, Langford, Oak Bay, Colwood, View Royal, Esquimalt, Sidney and Sooke, plus the surrounding communities on south Vancouver Island.

Your James Bay or Fairfield character home needs a different plan than a newer two-storey in Langford. Your Oak Bay fascia and older gutters are not the same as a metal roof in Sooke. Your Gordon Head or Broadmead cedars dump needles into the trough all fall. We design on your property so the plan matches your roof pitch, your outlets and your street.

Hours are Monday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weekend installs are available in season.

3. You approve the look and the price. No obligation.
4. We install your commercial-grade lights on the roofline, gutters, pillars, trees and bushes you chose.
5. Your display stays up through the season. If a section goes dark, call us and we’ll come back.
6. We take the lights down in January and store your plan for next year.

Most homes take a few hours once the strands are preppared. Steep heritage roofs, wrapped trees and commercial frontages take longer. We’ll tell you the timing on your quote.

Your lights have to live through Island rain, salt air and wind, not a dry cold snap. Cheap outdoor strings that last one season inland often fail here after a few weeks of mist and chloride, especially near the water in James Bay, Esquimalt, Colwood and Sooke.

That’s why we use commercial-grade LED C9s and mini lights, proper clips and weather-tight connections. We keep plugs up out of overflowing downspouts. We take the display down in January instead of leaving it on your fascia all summer. If a Pacific storm knocks a section out, call us. We’ll treat it as part of the job.

A fall roof clean or gutter clean before the install is often the smartest order of work. Moss makes your roof slippery. Needles in your trough dump water onto your connections. Ask us to bundle it when you book.

C9s are the larger classic bulbs we use to outline your eaves, gables and peaks. They read from the street. Mini lights are the smaller bulbs we use to wrap your trees, weave through hedges and detail pillars. Mixing them on purpose looks clean. Stretching mini lights down a long two-storey eaves looks thin.

Your colour options include warm white, cool white, red, green, blue, yellow, orange and more. Warm white is the usual request on older Victoria and Oak Bay homes. Cool white and colour accents show up more on newer Langford and Colwood builds. We can update your colours from year to year.

We hang lights on wood fascia, vinyl and fibre-cement siding, stucco, brick and metal roofs, with the clip that belongs on that surface. We don’t staple your shingles.

Residential work follows your architecture and your neighbourhood. Commercial work has to deal with higher fascia, more footage, landlord or strata approval, and install times that don’t block your customers. Both include install, take-down and storage in the quote.

Property managers can book one crew for the whole building. One plan looks better than unit-by-unit consumer strings, and we can provide WorkSafeBC and liability documents when your council asks.
